 Asquith Attractions
One suburb north of the major railhead of Hornsby, Asquith is on the main northern train line linking Sydney and Newcastle. Close to the central Hornsby commercial and shopping precinct, Asquith is a typical, leafy community common to the shire.
Asquith is only minutes from the Berowra Valley Regional Parkland, Crosslands Nature Reserve and the spectacular Galston Gorge. The bushland setting is a world apart from the hectic pace of Sydney City, 25 kilometres to the south. To the north, the magnificent Hawkesbury River is just 20 minutes by road or a delightful cruise away through Cowan Creek or Berowra Waters.
Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is within 10 minutes of Asquith. Established in 1894, this heavily wooded park is a magnificent, 15,000ha, near-wilderness area networked by trails tailored to suit both experienced and recreational bush-walkers. The forest-draped sandstone cliffs skirt the shores of Broken Bay, Pittwater and Cowan Creek and its tributaries
