 Northern Beaches

Sydney is one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in the entire world. Sydney has a plethora of natural tourist attractions at well as awe-inspiring skyscrapers, amazing range of shopping centers. The Australian capital of Sydney is an idyllic place for all the people who want to spend some quality time with their family and friends away from the hustle and bustle of modern stressful city life. Sydney is a perfect place for both business and leisure seeking travelers. So if you are planning detailed information about Sydney or get a true Sydney-Overview you can’t afford to keep Sydney out of your itinerary. Among the wide a gamut places for Sightseeing in Sydney a name to be reckoned with is the Northern Beaches in Sydney.
The name Northern Beaches of Sydney refers to a suburban district located in the north east of the city but it also signifies a stretch of famous beaches extending northwards from Sydney Harbor and North Head at Manly to Barrenjoey Point and Broken Bay, and on the shores of Pacific Ocean. The Northern Beaches of Sydney are encompassed on every side by either azure blue water or verdant forest stretches. This has earned the Northern Beaches the colloquial name of “the Peninsula".

A visit to Northern Beaches is a fun experience for the entire family including the tiny tots. Northern Beaches is genuinely "family-orientated" area which discourages adult practices like topless bathing. However some topless sun bathers can still be sighted in Manly but its not the norm on other Northern Beaches like Bondi, Tamarama etc.

Among all the beaches which make up the Northern Beaches, the Manly Beach is the most famous tourist. The Manly beach of the Northern Beaches has a host of tourist attractions and a plethora of with fun activities which are aimed at luring the day tripper and holiday maker. But if you think the funky manly beach constitute the sole attraction of the Northern beaches then you are grossly wrong. The more unexplored parts of Northern beaches and the lesser know idyllic beaches are equally enjoyable infact it would be more appealing for those who love some solitude.

There are no railway services to Northern Beaches at Sydney but you can avail the other means of transport to the Northern Beaches. The Northern Beaches are serviced by a regular ferry services. JetCat offers ferry services between Manly and Circular Quay. Regular bus services also ply from the city of Sydney to Palm Beach of Northern Beaches. You can also drive to the Northern Beaches if you want to travel there on the comfort of you own car.
